Horses are used every season here on the ranch. We understand the value of solid ranch horses and we wanted to put on a horse sale that showcases what we consider to be the cream of the crop.

As with many great ideas the Pitchfork Ranch horse sale came about after a couple keystone lights and a long morning of branding calves. Our goal was to put on an event that showcases ranch horses doing what they do best, working. The showing will consist of a good ol’ fashioned Pitchfork Ranch branding, ranch reining, trail course, one and two man doctoring, dog trial, and trail course.

The horse sale will be a weekend long event that will include vendors, camping, music and dancing, food, and a horse trailer beer bar. Check out our ranch goods page to sign up for camping and our Pitchfork Beef dinner.
